Flash Presentation
Overview
The WEC Flash Presentation Extension displays an audio or video presentation that includes multiple individual charts that are displayed at the appropriate time in the presentation. Either MP3-formatted audio files or FLV-formatted video files can be used. Both presentation players support progressive downloading which allows them to play while the media file is still downloading. In addition, the video presentation player is capable of estimating connection speed and then selecting from either a video file encoded for modem speeds or a second video file encoded for high speed connections. Using this feature, a single presentation player can support different connections speeds automatically. And both players do not require any special server software.
The charts are provided as separate jpg-formatted graphics files. When setting up the presentation, the start time for each chart is supplied so the presentation player knows when in the presentation to change each chart. Navigation is included to control the presentation including the ability to move to a different chart and resynchronize the audio or video to the currently selected chart. This makes this player an excellent tool for online teaching and training.
Note: The Flash presentation supports video files in FLV format (Flash Video). Video can be encoded with a display size of up to 320 pixels by 240 pixels.
