Copy or Move Multiple Content Elements Using the Clipboard
For Version: TYPO3 4.2.1
- To move or copy multiple Content Elements from one page to another, use the List Module.
- Select the page on which the Content Elements you wish to move can be found.
- For our example, we'll move two Content Elements from the Home page.
- Ensure the Show Clipboard option is enabled.
- Notice there are four Clipboards. The Normal Clipboard holds items you've copied using your browser.
- The Numbered Clipboards are unique to TYPO3. Click on one of them.
- Notice that there is now a check-box next to every record on this form. This is an indicator that a Clipboard is open.
- To Move or Copy multiple Content Elements, select them by putting a checkmark in the corresponding check-box. Then click on the "Transfer Selection of Records to Clipboard" icon.
- Next, select a page where you want to copy or move the Content Elements. In this case, we'll move them to the About Us. However, you have the option to copy or move your selection to any TYPO3 page on your website.
- You have the opportunity to either copy or move records using the TYPO3 Clipboards. Scroll down to the Clipboards and make your choice using the Clipboard dropdown menu.
- Next, click on either the "Paste In" or "Paste After" icons. These icons will be displayed wherever you are allowed to paste the Clipboard's contents.
- The Content Elements will be moved or copied immediately and will be visible on your website.
