Add a Plugin

Although there a several ways to add a plugin to a page, most WEC extensions allow you to use the following simple method.

  1. Begin by opening the Page Module in the Backend.
  2. Select the page in the Page Tree where you'd like to install the plugin.
  3. Select the Content Container in which you want to install the plugin and then click on the corresponding Create New Element icon.
  4. Scroll down the list of the New Content Elements to select the plugin you'd like to add and click on it. This will open up the plugin's Flexform.
  5. It is good practice to give the new plugin element a name. Add this in the Header field.
  6. Unless you want the plugin header to show in the Frontend, select Hide in the Header Type drop-down box.
  7. Refer to the extension's documentation for information about how to complete the rest of the plugin's fields.
  8. Make sure you save the Flexform when you're done.
