I have installed the new plugin but keeps getting the message

/typo3conf/ext/wec_staffdirectory/locallang_db.xml was not XML!: Line 1: Empty document

whenever I want to do anything create a page / creating a user group.

Can anyone help me?

Hi Søren,

It sounds like the StaffDirectory plugin had a problem during install, and somehow did not complete. I just installed it and it was fine. Try to go to Import and reinstall the extension. The locallang_db.xml should be 12.2K file with data.

If you still have a problem, please can you send me the locallang_db.xml file, and also let me know what TYPO3 and PHP version you are running.

I have just tried to install the extension once again, but no luck. It is Typo 3 version 4.1.2 , but I do not know where to check php version? The XML is 12,2 as you said.

Can it be because of the language? (I am using danish)?

How do I send you the XML, I cannot find an atach button

The language may be the problem. I do not have empty settings for danish and other languages. I will create a new version tomorrow morning (Friday) and send it to you that you can test.

If you wanted to try it yourself, you could use the Ext Manager->Loaded Extensions -- go to Staff Directory and then choose Edit Files from the dropdown and edit the file. Other option is to use Quixplorer if installed or use FTP to get the file from typo3conf/ext/wec_staffdirectory/locallang_db.xml

But just add these lines
<languageKey index="dk" type="array">

</language>

At the bottom of the file (but before </data> and after the </languageKey>).

Let me know if this works or not.

I tried to correct the file as suggested, but I must have made it wrong, since it does not work. In a Word MFC editor it looks ok though, but when I open the XML file in a browser it looks as if it is not able to read the last lines. I would really appreciate if you could do a new version.

I have made changes in the latest version that may fix this problem. I do not see any bad characters in the file, but I made sure it was all consistent and cleared out any empty/blank characters and lines.
