In my servant connector, when selecting by skills, none of the skill shows up. After looking around a bit, it seems that my ministry skills storage is actually in the general storage rather than the servant storage. Do I need to have skills in the servant storage, and if so, how do I move it there? I am not technically "literate" with web, although I am computer savy. (So I don't have a grasp of php, CSS, very much code, etc.)

Hi Sandy,

Yes, you do need all the servant elements in the same spot. You can move them -- it is a little obtuse but you can fairly easily once you know how. It is not in a How-To (yet), but more details are listed in the Getting Started guide. Here is the quick rundown:

1) Go to your General Storage Folder where you want to move the items.

2) Select "Show clipboard" (it is below all the items near the bottom) if it is not already selected.

3) At the bottom, you can see the Clipboard. Choose Clipboard #1. Once you do, checkboxes will show up next to all data elements. You can then select certain ones or go to the top and select ALL.

4) After you have selected ALL, then choose the Cut icon at top of the data elements.

5) Go to the Servant Storage folder.

REVISED...
6) Then click on the Paste icon at top. This will then paste everything that was copied from your clipboard.

You should then have skills in the Servant Connector.

Thank you very much Dave. I just had time to work on it, and when you/someone write the how-to, you might want to add a few steps . . . don't even know if this is the best way to do it, just the way that I found:

1. If there's not the page element in servant storage, (which there wasn't for me), go to "create new record" at top of page; scroll down towards the bottom of records to add and click on "ministry skills"; then the paste icon will be in that box that's added. Paste the clipboard contents in and edit or delete the 'no title' entry. (Some of us are so new to this CMS that we're on square #1)

For me there wasn't a cut symbol for the clipboard, but there was a copy icon - which copied the items to my clipboard. I will now go back and delete/trash the records from my general storage so I don't get confused about where to add records!
