Subject: Sermon Archives
Hi Group,
I can't seem to find anything on this, so I will ask.
We have been using the SMS for a few months now and it seems to be working fine.

Now that it is 2008, I would like to take all of the 2007 sermons and place them in a folder that the user could open, if wanted, and listen to any sermon in there.

1. What is the best way to handle this? Should we just delete all of the 2007's?
2. Should we make a 2008 folder>January etc> and place each months sermons in the appropriate folder?
3. If we do #2, does the user automatically get a listing? etc.

I think you get my intent here.
Thanks and God Bless,
Don

Don,

In general, it is best to keep all the sermon records together to do things like search through them all (an improved search is being developed now too). One approach would be to add a page that lists sermons for just one year. The sermon list view can be given a range of dates and it will just display in that range. From the manual, it looks like you set the startDate and endDate. So you could create pages for each year but the sermons records could stay together.

Mark,
As always thanks!
I will try this and see if I can make it work.
Thanks again,

Mark,
Would this listing page have hotlinks to each sermon? I assume if yes, that I link to them the same way I link to everything/anything else?

Thanks,
in His service,
Don
