I've had a couple of requests to send the email prayer requests once a day instead of one at a time. Any possibility for that? I would imagine it would need to be a fe user configuration item.
Thanks.
Bob.

That is a great idea and we have seen the need for that functionality too. That functionality is in our plans, but likely 2-3 months away before we have it implemented. We plan on the ability to send right-away, daily, or weekly for the Prayer Connector & Discussion Forum extensions.

Bob,
Is the issue that they do not want so many e-mails? Because the thought about sending them immediately is that some requests may be urgent and we want the request to come immediately so it can be prayed for as quickly as possible. And, at least at our church, we do not get very many per day. Are you seeing several in a day? I am just trying to understand their desires better.
In Him,
Mark

Yes, we often have more than one a day - it appears that if the moderator approves more than one at a time, they do get bundled into one email, however the moderators are trying to get that job done as quickly as they can.
I think from an end-user perspective the people that have requested this indicate that they only check email once a day (say after work) and would rather see one email with 5 requests rather than 5 emails in their inbox.

Thanks Bob. Unfortunately, this may be more technically difficult than in seems because the e-mails are triggered by a user actions -- posting or approving a post. Then the e-mail is sent immediately. There is no way to know which post is the last one for the day and it is unclear when in the day to send the group of posts. This could be done with something like a cron set up on the server that runs periodically, but that adds complexity to the install process. So, unfortunately, it may not work out to add this feature. In your case, one approach might be to ask the approvers to approve posts just once per day.
