This is a best-practices kind of question.

We are keeping prayer requests live for just 15 days, but even with that short life span we occasionally see the need to remove entires before their natural expiration. When we decide to leave them for longer periods, we will see even more that we'd like to remove early.

When we expire entries early, we simply delete them from the list. Do any of you handle this differently?

We used to delete them sometimes but we have trouble keeping up now. I prefer editing them to indicate the change in status and then they are kept internally for future reference. For example, "ANSWERED PRAYER REQUEST (9/12/07): My prayer...". I think keeping them there is not all bad because people may wonder why they disappeared and also, people may be pleased to see the results.
