I am now working on the picture gallery. Everyones help has really been appreciated.
However when I configure the smooth gallery and go to templates st set up the Static template, a red Message say i have no template installed. When I created the page, I used the default from the rest of my website. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Hey Ted,
In TYPO3, all the settings within a Typoscript template inherit or flow down from the main page on your site down into the subpages. This means its not actually necessary to copy the default template, as the settings there will be applied anyway. Instead, you can create a new, blank template that will only have SmoothGallery settings.
