So first of all, i want to thank you for your great extension. Works charmingly ;D

Today I wondered myself, if there is a possibility to fetch the marker positions from all wec_map plugins located on Subpages beneath a wec_map plugin and feed it via TS - or something else - ? If, this isn't possible, could it be a feature of one of the upcoming versions?

Best regards,

Thomas

Thomas,

I am not quite sure what you are asking. Can you rephrase your question please? If you feel more comfortable posting in German, feel free to do so.

Sorry!

So ok. I'll try again

I have a bunch of locations in my page tree. Each page contains title, address, pictures and a wec_map of the location.

The pages are organized like that:
+ PageTreeRoot
|-+ Locations
__|-- Location 1
__|-- Location 2
__|-- Location 3
and so on.

And what i want to do, is to make an overview of of all locations on the "Locations" page. So my question was, if there is a possibility to fetch the address information of the subpages of "Locations".

Greetings

Thomas

Thomas,

Sorry for getting back to you so late.
The only way I can think of that could possibly work is defining all the markers via TS on all the subpage, and including it in your parent page's template. There is a section below inlcuding the static template where you can include basic templates from other pages.
That may override TS in various places, so I am not sure if that would work. To ensure that it doesn't, you may want to mix up the marker numbers so there are no duplicates across all the sub pages, i.e. markers.10-100 or so.

Hope that helped!

Thomas and Christoph,

I think I kind of did this by placing the map information in Frontend records. Then the single maps look just in their local folder for records but the comprehensive map looks in its folder and recursively through the folders below it and would show all addresses. Would this do what is wanted here?

Mark

Mark,

Hm, didn't think of that, but I suppose you're right, that would work.

Hello You 2,
thank you for your replies.
Marks last post exactly described what I wanted to do. It would be great if this could be a new feature of a next release.

Greetings,

Thomas

Thomas, there is no need to add the feature, it works now. In fact, I just did maps with various combinations of address groups. Just use FE user records and place them in different directories according to the groups you want to display. Then on each map, you can add whatever groups you want by adding the folders to the starting point field. The map will display all the addresses from all the starting points. It works well.

Mark
