Subject: language problems
Hi,

For this extension I translated the locallang file (in Dutch). In this case especial the terms on the bubble in FE simple mapmode. Words "Info", "Directions" etc.
If I'm logged in in the backend, all goes perfect. Nice translations :-)
But after logging out from the backend, that means a page will be cached, all translations disappear. I only get the English terms.

Who knows the reason and/or a solution (direction)?

Regards,

Daniel

Daniel,

Do you have your FE set up to allow different languages? You know, the whole L=1 variable thing?
This may help:

I've a one language site. Not for different languages.
I use config.language=nl and config.locale_all=nl_NL. That works for all (most) extensions. But it's a bit strange that the labels for the frontend are in the locallang_db file. I think that's the problem.

Daniel,

Ah okay. Does it work if you create a locallang file in the extension directory and copy the language stuff over there? If you could test that it would help a lot and I will update the extension right away.
I will look at it next week if you haven't yet.

Thanks!

Daniel,

Just so you know, I am looking into this. The labels in question are not in any of the plugins but the other class files and I have seen a WEC Map install that showed all the labels correctly in German. Unfortunately it doesn't anymore, which makes me thing it either broke in some WEC Map update or maybe TYPO3 update, though that is not very likely.
I contacted the developer of that site to get some info as to what version and TS they use so I can fix that problem. I can reproduce it on my system, too.

Thanks for the report and your patience!

Christoph
