Subject: How to stop player on pageload?
Hi,

first of all big thx for this great typo3-extension. There is only one thing, i can't get to work. I don't want the player to start streaming right away (when i load my page). It should wait until the "play-button" is pressed. Is there a way to configure that behaviour?

Thx'n greetz

Nils,
There's not currently a way to keep the video player from starting automatically but this capability does exist on the audio player. We've got a new version of the extension coming out in the next couple days, so I'll see about adding it to the video version.

Thanks for the suggestion!

Hi Jeff,

Are you still working on the "no autoplay feature"? We'd like to use more than one video/page, so autoplaying is not an option

Cheers, Hartmut

It is still on the todo list but it will require some major revamping of the Flash code, so I don't have a good timeframe for it.

The problem really comes down to displaying a preview image even thought the video isn't playing. Our current setup doesn't give us a good way to show anything more than a black screen when video isn't playing so I need to figure out a good workaround.

I'm also suffering from the auto-loading player.

Idea: What about allowing the BE user to upload a "preview image" which is displayed initally?

I know this means some additional work for the BE user, but also has some advantages:
- you don't need to fetch the very first picture
- access statistics only list the videos people really watched ;-)

As an alternative: Is it possible to extract the preview picture when the player is added in the backend and to cache it somewhere?
