We're just getting eBible installed and configured... have created account w/ eBible and installed API key etc.

Am trying to figure out how to get the eBible Translation field to appear in User Account registration & edit user account? (ref. page 12 of eBible Ext. manual)

HAVE clicked 'Allow User Definable Translation?' in Constant Editor
Have installed plugin on My Account page...but it appears as separate entity... not in profile set up as shown on page 12..

Point of confusion: The manual refers (page 12) to the Installation step 5 for setting up user definable translation... but Installation step 5 is for the Verse of the day plugin... not eBible Translation plugin...

In the eBible Translation plugin there is no option about allowing users to choose translation...

What am I missing here?

PS. If I open an existing front end user account from Storage folder, I can see that the translation option field has been added. But this is not visible in the front end when, as a user, I try to edit my account.

Mary Beth,

The manual looks correct to me. It refers to step 5 on page 10, which talks about the Translation plugin.
About editing the user translation in the FE, you're right, the sr_feuser_register template hasn't been updated yet I think. I will be in a new version of the WEC User extension. Maybe Jeff can chime in an clarify that.

Thank you Christoph... I am looking at page 10 ... if you look at the header for that section is says "WEC eBible Translation Plugin...

BUT...if you look at the ILLUSTRATION... it is showing you the Verse of the Day Plugin...

I am providing a link to a screen shot of my eBible Translation plugin as I see it in the backend... perhaps this will illustrate the difference that I am speaking about. There is no Flexform/Plugin Option(s) to configure the eBible Translation plugin (at least the one I have ) to choose "Allow User to Choose Translation" ...

P.S. I installed FE User Register 2.5.7 just today to try and see if that would affect this... it was the latest version I could find.

Mary Beth,

Right, the illustration doesn't refer to Step 5, the Translation plugin, but the VotD plugin. The translation plugin doesn't have any configuration options, like it says: "With the exception of the Header, the plugin has few options, and no extension specific options."
Updating the sr_feuser_register extension won't make a difference. We include the right markers in our WEC-User-extension-supplied template (or will very soon), and they need to be added to a custom sr_feuser_register template.

Hope that clarified things!

Ok... thank you... I will sit tight and wait for the upgrade for the template ...

How will WEC members become aware of this upgrade when it does become available?

Mary Beth,

We think it will be out in the next couple of days. It will be an update to the wec_user extension, so check for that in the Extension Manager.
Thanks for your patience!

Mary Beth,
Just wanted to give you a heads up that the update for wec_user is now available. This just adds some extra fields to the HTML template for registration so that it is possible for eBible to show up.

http://typo3.org/extensions/repository/view/wec_user/1.2.0/

You'll need to manually configure the registration extension though and add eBible Translation to the list of fields that appear. This can be done by going to the Constants Editor on the My Account page. With in the constants for sr_feuser_register, you'll find "Registration form fields." You can add tx_wecebible_translation onto the end of this available fields, which should cause it to show up when a user registers or edits their account.

Thanks,
Jeff
