Subject: How Do I Install eBible?
I've looked around the various threads on the eBible extension, and unless I've overlooked it, I can't find a how-to on getting started with eBible. I've set up a basic account on the eBible website, and I've requested and received an API key. I don't know what that is, but someone on one of these threads was advised to do that so I did. Now I just need to know how to get it to work in my website. What do I need to do? I'm at the very beginning and just learning about WEC.

Thanks for your help,
Melissa

Melissa,
I'd suggest working through the manual at http://typo3.org/documentation/document-library/extension-manuals/wec_ebible/1.0.3/view/1/1/.

The really, really short answer is that you want to add your API key from eBible.com within the TYPO3 backend at Tools -> WEC eBible Admin. After that, you'll want to go the main page of your site and add the static template for eBible. You can find a how-to on adding static templates at http://webempoweredchurch.com/support/howtos/single/add_a_static_template/.

Hope that helps!

Beyond the mechanics of installing the eBible extension, I'm wondering whether anyone offers an API for NRSV. eBible's web site shows they have ESV but we use the other version at our church. Is there another source for this API? Many thanks.

Jim,

I am not sure what you mean. You want to use the NRSV, but eBible doesn't offer it? There's nothing we can do about that. There are some alternatives to eBible, like reftagger from the Logos guys, and we've looked into those a bit but it's not a priority for us at the moment.
You can still try and use it yourself by manually including the needed files though. It just won't be quite as easy and integrated as wec_ebible.
