I tried to set up the Wec discussion Extension. Cause it fits my needs perfect.
I installed it and dropped the include static from ext in my main Template.
Then:
1. I made standard page
2. I made a sys Folder as a Storage
3. Back to the standard Page I implement a new content Element
4. Choosed WEC Disc.
5. Typed in a Header :"Forum"
6. Choosed the Sys Folder
7. Seved and looked at the Page
8. The Forum was there RSS Button too.
9. Went back to the Backend and gave a User Group the Permision to write.
10. Back to the frontend. Logged in as a user.

And now the Problem starts.

The whole site is gone and I get an Error Message:



I deinstalled and reinstalled it 3 times but There is allways a fatal error.

Has anybody an idea what I did wrong.

If you remove the User Group permission to write does your whole site work again even if you login as a FE user?

I believe that file is used for the RTE. It sounds like you have an earlier version of TYPO3 or use tinyRTE (not htmlarea). This was fixed in v1.6.1 of the Discussion forum. If you can update and get that version, it should be fixed.

Is your site still down with that error? You should be able to remove the temp*.* files in typo3conf/ to fix that. If you have to hand-edit the localconf.php to remove the discussion forum from the extlist at worst case, but likely not.
