I am using the "Go to the Mountain" 2-Column Template.
I inserted the Discussion Forum and set it up as a Blog.

The issue is that the blog in the middle section seems to intrude on the content in the left section. The only "left content" is the Login Box...The blog then floats underneath the left content. This includes the breadcrumbs as well. There seems to be about 0.5" overlap between columns.

If I am not logged, in then the blog is pushed down by about 2.5" underneath the login box and register link. If I am logged in, then the blog is only pushed down about 0.5" under the left content: "You are now logged in as 'USER'".

Where should I start looking to resolve this issue? At this time I am using the standard Discussion forum template.

Hi Heath,

I tried this same template and put a discussion forum in it, and I could not find any problems. I tried this in Firefox and IE7.

What browser are you using? Also, have you updated the Discussion forum to the latest version (v1.4.1)?

Also, if you have a URL for me to see it, that may help understand the problem too.

One more thing. This may be fixed if you change the width of the WEC Discussion. Go to the discussion page and select Template->Constant Editor. Then choose the PLUGIN.TX_WECDISCUSSION_PI1 from the dropdown and change the total width from 650px to 600px or even 550px. Save this value, and then re-display the page. If that does fix the problem, bump it up by 10px until you run into the problem again.

Changing it to 600px did the trick (610px did not work)

I am still using IE6 here at work (unfortunately...I do not have the Authority to upgrade ) I did not try firefox at home.

Just an update...I am running Firefox 1.5 at home...I am running Discussion Forum version 1.4.1

When the width is set at 600px everything is fine.

When the width is set at 650px the sidebar hangs off the right side of the template.
