Subject: Adding multiple custom to one page
Hello!
At the moment we are using this wonderfull plugin. There is only a slight problem we encounter.
If i add 2 or more plugins in the same page and setting all plugins to their own startingpoints the replies are duplicated to the startingpoints.

So say i have 3 WEC discussions plugins on one page.
- plugin 1 set to custom and startingpoint to pid 4
- plugin 2 set to custom and startingpoint to pid 5
- plugin 3 set to custom and startingpoint to pid 6

If i make a reply then this reply is stored into all 3 startingpoints instead of the configured startingpoint. Is there something i overlooked to set ? Or is it not possible to use this plugin multiple ?

Thanks in advance!

Ben,

The discussion plugin takes up a lot of screen space as people post, so it seems unusual to put more than one on one page. And stacking them virtically on the page could make it confusing as people scroll down and are not sure which discussion they are on. Under what circumstances do you think having more than one on a page is needed? Would it work for you to have them on three different pages (perhaps with links to each other on all those pages if they are related)?

In Him,
Mark

Hi Mark,

Thanks for your reply, at the moment i indeed have them on seperate pages. As you say the vertical space could be a problem when you put them on one page, but i can show only the latest 10 that will save some space (i can do this also with a preview, but then you have to make 2 mouse clicks again before you can post a reply)
Besides that, i could also use a toggle with javascript to save vertical space.

I know that my request could be forfilled with the blog feature, but then i cannot use the features a standard content element has.

Ben.
