Subject: edit devo setup
How do you make edits to the devotional setup? All I want right now is daily devotions but can't get rid of weekly and discussion tabs.

Hi Steve,

Go to the Devo Storage Folder or wherever your Devotional data is stored. You can delete the Weekly and Discussion sections under "Devo Sections". Then you will just have daily. If you want to add or rename the tabs here, you can do that by editing them.

It took a little investigation but I finally found the menu item that would
let me get in and edit those devotion settings. I'm all set. Thanks for the
prompt and helpful response.

Hi Steve, I have tried that (I want to do the exact same thing....don't want the frontend to show "weekly", "sermon," and "discussion," just want daily devotion tab to show. So I went to devo storage, found the Devo Sections, and "trash-canned" the tabs I didnt want.

Now, On the backend, under "Devo Sections," You can only see the daily devotions listed, and not the others, which is good. But, on the front end, nothing has changed...all 4 tabs are still there.

Any idea what I am doing wrong?

Hi Christine,

We acknowledge the problem with deleting Devo Sections. They do not seem to go away from the Front-end. This has been fixed, but not released yet. You can download the following file to your local computer, and then on your site go to Ext Manager->Import files and then choose this file. If you have an old version of the Devo (< 1.7) then you will need to update the Flexform tabs. Otherwise, this version will fix your problem.

Worked like a charm....thanks, as usual! I am so glad there are people who really know what they are doing with this stuff, because as someone who is barely competent, you make the impossible possible!

God Bless,
Christine
