Today is the day we have gone live on Typo3! We redirected our domain northcoastchurch.com last night to the site we have had in developemnt for a year now. Seems like the propagation took forever as we watched it through the night...with old site appearing and disappearing but finally this morning the new site was showing up at http://northcoastchurch.com.

Still have some small bugs to work out but mostly all is good. I want to say how thankful I am for the webempowered church's help....especially Jeff Segars and Mark Stephenson. I really appreciated your help and the hand holding that you provided during the learning curve.

Very cool! I like the look and feel you've created. I like the news/calendar/? items on the home page displaying the picture and the news blurb - are you using an extension for that, custom code, something else?

Only comment I had about the site overall is that I can't seem to find a statement of faith or what you believe. If this is part of your site, it's not readily apparent. If not, then just ignore this.

Thanks for the comments....our statement of faith is under visitor...."what we believe".


The news/images on the front are actually just plain text content elements but then styled with css. We played around with custom templates for these but finally ended up with what we have.

There is supposed to be a news feed on the right column but I had to turn it off as we got errors when I changed the base url to our domain.....I am trying to figure that out now.

We have a team that worked on this...a graphic guy, a content writer/content editor, a tech/code person (that would be me) and one more person that keeps the list of all that needs to be done and trys to keep us all organized. And a director that sets the deadlines....which we managed to blow right by all year long!
