Subject: Stop date on page
I have put a start date and a stop date on various elements in the
web page. The problem is that they do not disapear from the web site
after the stop date. My element showns the little red clock as a timer.
What could I be doing wron on the setup of the element?

Ted,

I wonder if the month and day could be reversed in your install since TYPO3 supports either. So yesterday could be 7/12/2008 or 12/7/2008 depending on the settings. The easy way to verify that is to click on the calendar icon next to the date and enter the date by clicking. (assumes the calendar extension is installed) Or just flip the day and month and try it.

The other issue could be the time. There is actually a time and date that is set. If I wanted to set it to turn off tonight for example, I would usually set the stop field to 1:00 7/14/2008.

Also, there is the unlikely case that your web server's date is way off.

For testing, maybe try a date that is awhile ago like 5/5/2008. That should not show up.

If you are sure it is still not working, please e-mail me a backend username and password at we will look at it. We have not seen a bug in this feature before.

In Christ,
Mark

Ted,
I'll throw in one more suggestion in addition to what Mark said. TYPO3's caching could be coming into play here. When you have content that you expected to disappear that is still showing up, try logging into the backend and clearing the cache. If this causes the timed content to disappear, then we can give you some Typoscript settings to help.

Thanks,
Jeff
