Subject: Change Font Size in CSS
I'm new to WEC-TYPO3, so hopefully this is an easy question:
I'm trying to change the style.css within my template to reduce the size of the bottom nav, copyright, and contact info elements. I first tried to copy the style.css and paste it back into the same folder, hoping to create a style_01.css. However, the files and folders within fileadmin/tv-templates/... are read only, thus I encounter a write permission error.

I was able to copy the entire template to the fileadmin/templates/ folder, and I'm able to make my changes there, but I'm not sure how I get TYPO3 to look at that folder rather than /tv-templates/, or how I get past the permissions problem. Appreciate any help.

Thanks,

Keith

Hi Keith

with the Extension filepermissions you cold do that.
Another way wold be to use your FTP-Programm to set the Fillepermissions.

A good way to "play" around with the Templates would be:

- Download the DOWNLOAD TYPO3 4.1.5 + WEC Starter Package http://webempoweredchurch.com/gettingstarted/installing/

So you cold test all things on your Computer.

Then you could Upload the Template where you want it.
After that one way would be to copy a existing Template-Setting ( in the Storagefolder ) and change the Setting where it points to the Templatefile.
>> Listview > Storagefolder > TemplaVoilą Template Object > copy e.g Love In Action - 2 Column, Aqua if your template is based on this and change the Name.
After that edit the Record and set this > File reference: fileadmin/new-place/some_name/template.htm

Great suggestion Manfred,

Using the local version of WEC-TYPO3 Server to run on a PC or a Mac is very useful. It provides an easy way to test and learn, and you can just delete it and re-install any time you want to start fresh.

Manfred / Mark,

Thanks for the quick feedback. I see what you mean...better to work with the template on the local level until ready to promote it.

Thanks much,

Keith
