Subject: Can't change / apply templates
Hi all

The road to the first page seems to be quite bumpy...:-D

I installed the WEC Starter Package, and would like to change to one of the included templates. I go to WEC config and chose the template I want, click on it, it appears as "current template used". When I click on the preview symbol, however, I see a page without any template at all, no formatting, just text on a plain white background.

What am I doing wrong?

thanx

Markus,

Hard to say. Do you have a link to the website so we can take a look?

Yeah, it's

http://www.bonavita-ag.ch/wec/index.php?id=61

I found out that, when I chose a 3 column layout, it shows correct (3 columns). When choosing a 2 column layout, it shows no columns at all, just all the text with no formatting...

Markus,
It looks like this is actually an issue with your WEC Constant for the site URL. Your site is running at http://www.bonavita-ag.ch/wec/ but the site URL is set to http://www.bonavita-ag.ch. The WEC Constant for the site URL is used when resolving page paths as well as CSS and image resources so this is why you're seeing an unstyled page.

You can find a quick tutorial on setting the site URL at http://webempoweredchurch.com/no_cache/support/classes/wec101/?tx_wecknowledgebase_pi1%5Btt_news%5D=248

Hey....great! Thanx so much, that solved it! I didn't realize that this was actually such an important field, since I might have just as well left it emtpy...

You were very helpful, thanx again!
