Subject: WEC Config - no templates after change
Hello community!

The problem I am describing is already mentioned in one or two other posts, which seemed to be solved. Unfortunately it doesn't work here.

The problemitself: After changing the "constants.wec.siteURL" from the orginal demo.webempoweredchurch.org to our domain, an text-only unformated page occurs.

Yes: I set a leading http:// and another slash at the end of the expression
(-> http://www.hs-marktbreit.de/cms/)

I also reinstalled the whole architecture and set up a new database to avoid any mistakes. It's the typo3-4.2.8 with the WEC starter pack. PHP-version=5.2, Mysql=5

Any help is welcome - thanks in advance!

Jochen

Jochen,
It looks like there's a permissions problem on the fileadmin directory on your site. When I look at your site, I see the base URL set properly and see the references to CSS files and other static resources. When I try to access one of the CSS files directly, however, I get an internal server error (example: http://www.hs-marktbreit.de/cms/fileadmin/tv-templates/template19/styles.css).

My guess is that you have the permissions on these files set to 777 but your server has some security restrictions in place that do not allow 777. If you reduce the permissions to 755 I think that may help.

Thanks,
Jeff

Hi Jeff,

first of all many thanks for your answer and my apologies for returning that late - I've been some days off...

Your suggestion seems to be the right path for a solution. Though changing the permissions didn't bring success there rather is a problem with my provider. As you mentioned, the "internal server error" is very suspicious. I will doble check all settings next week and if this won't work I will have to contact the support-staff of "Loomes".

Finally...

After double checking nearly everything, setting permissions, giving up and re-installing - the responsible thing which gave the "500 - internal server error" at loomes.de / loomes.net was the hidden file .htaccess in the folder fileadmin/ which had "Options -Indexes" in it. Renaming and thus disabling it was the solution for this particular problem here!

A prosperous and peaceful 2010 for all of you at WEC!

Jochen
