Subject: registration email link not working
Have most of a test site up & working - but am having trouble with the email that gets sent to confirm registration...

using the latest 4.1.5 + WEC (had to get a new server to handle some of the newer reqs).

The problem lies with the confirmation link. It includes part of the next line of text so it's something like this:

-----------------------------
To confirm your registration, please follow this link:
http://www.website.name/community/account/user/18ea35244894963d6345/
Or copy and paste it into your browser.
-----------------------------

The "Or" on the last line is included in the link.

As a result, when the user clicks on it, it gives a "page not found" with a typo3 search box.

Where might I find the template for this email to see if the line break needs moved to before the "or".

Thanks in advance!

Jeff,
Would you mind forwarding me a registration email or posting a link to your site so that I can do a trial registration. I'm curios to see this in action since it sounds like something that would need to be fixed in the Starter Package.

Thanks,
Jeff

Also noticed my reg from this site (wec.com) was the same...

Thanks for the quick reply!

Jeff,
Thanks for the link and screenshots. What mail client are you using in the screenshots?

We haven't seen the issue before and I don't have any issues with your registration email inside Apple Mail. Not to say that there isn't an issue or anything, but it will help us figure out if we need to make a change to our default configuration too.

Thanks,
Jeff

Sorry - Entourage 2004... didn't think about the client playing a part in this!

Just tried setting up Apple Mail and the link looked fine! Tried in webmail and it was there too...

Looks like it is Entourage after all...
Sorry to have bothered you!

As I look at the registration emails - the 'initiated registration' notification email to the wec admin has something funky going on... It separates the words from the site name constant - and adds '@computer.name' to the end of them.

(i.e. supposed to be from "Church of the Lakes, UMC" shows up as:
"From: Church@computer.host.domain.com Of@computer.host.domain.com The@computer.host.domain.com Lakes@computer.host.domain.com" UMC@computer.host.domain.com <actual@email.com>)

Not a huge deal - but wonder where the templates for the emails reside to be able to change wording, etc.

Thanks for any help - and thanks for your help in figuring out the original problem!

Jeff,
Would you mind emailing me with a temporary backend login? I just double checked this locally and it seems fine so there may be a small configuration option that is incorrect or something.

Thanks,
Jeff

Hi, Jeff -
did you get link? If so, were you able to find anything?

Thanks!
