Subject: No permission to access after uploading Starter Package
Hallo!
Is there anybody who could help me:
I have been extracting the zip of WEC Starter Package and uploading, setting permissions to 777 for these 4 directories and renaming index.php and index.wec.
Now if I try to use the browser to access the directory I uploaded to, I get the error:
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /...
I tried the direct start of the install tool with "/typo3/install/index.php?mode=123&step=1" and had the same error.

How could I get this solved?

Thanks for helping! Timotheus (Germany)

Hi Andreas / Timotheus ??
Is the Url right? /ty3po/
If yes, maybe check your htaccess file.
You could also check the rights of the subdir /ty3po/.

Timotheus,

This may be related to your server setup. 777 permissions may not be allowed with your server. I think it would be helpful to run the WEC Server Checker script to understand how the server is configured. My guess is that you will need to lower your permissions to something like 770 or 644.

Hi Manfred, hi Mark!
The complete URL to the install tool is
http://www.internationale-gemeinde.de/ty3po/typo3/install/index.php?mode=123&step=1
The direction ty3pe has 777, also the 4 subdirs (not /typo3, but I checked that out too).
I created a test-dir, there I had access to after setting it to 777, so the permissions are ok, I think.
There is no htaccess in my root, or which one do You mean?

Here ist the WEC Serverchecker Script Test:

Just a Idea.
Can you Move the Files in the Dir where you had access to?
( Like you said in a previus Post )

Where do you have placed the WEC Server Checker script?

Andreas,

Hmm, the access part of the server settings seem okay. Can you access any file in the ty3po directory via a web browser (http://www.internationale-gemeinde.de/ty3po/thefilenamehere)? And is there an .htaccess file in the ty3po directory. The .htaccess file should be the file that came in the zip package. And as Manfred is asking/suggesting, it is best to run the server checker from the ty3po directory in this case.

Hallo Manfred, hallo Mark,

yes, the .htaccess is the problem. After removing this, I got access. But couldnīt finish the installation process. Contacting the hoster didnīt help. So I tried to install it on my business website. There it goes! (With minor errors).
So we are wondering to move to another hosting company...
That would solve the problem, I guess.

Thank You very much for Your help! Thats been great!
God bless You,
Andreas
