Subject: Can't login to Back End
I can no longer login to the backend of my website. I have not made any changes to my website in the last couple of weeks. When I tyr to login in it tells me:

Your login attempt did not succeed. Make sure to spell your username and password correctly, including upper/lowercase characters.

I even reentered the install tool and created another admin account and I cannot login.

I am running 4.1.2 on 1&1 hosting.

Victor,
Would you mind sending me an email with your backend login and your Install Tool password? I'll try here and see if I'm able to get in.

Thanks,
Jeff

Jeff,

Not sure what's going on, but I am suddenly now having the same problem!

When you find the solution, could you let me know?

My church just signed up a week ago. I can't get into the backend. I am totally at a loss. Our url is centralumc.com. Don Morse with his e-mail works for the church. I am a church member who is helping set this up. I design websites using FrontPage and work with a CMS called Memberclicks. This seems totally confusing. Please help. Thanks for the offer of help. In a series of mind numbing stupid mistakes I deleted the MYSQL database for the website and lost everything. My host could not restore the database.

I have since rebuilt with a different CMS.

Thanks

Vic

Hey folks,

I was chatting with Jeff in AIM last evening when this came up. He mentioned that, if you use Mozilla Firefox, a reinstallation of the browser may remedy the problem. This seems the apparent solution as I can login through Opera but can no longer through Firefox. I will do a reinstallation and let you know the results.

Thanks,
- Adam

Folks,

Decided before I reinstalled I would just do a system restart. Worked perfectly thereafter.

Here's the catch: my desktop is a Linux system (Ubuntu), so a system reboot with Linux may work while a reboot on Windows may not. I would still say a reboot is worth a try if you haven't performed one already.
