i am having yet another problem with the same server referred to in my last post..

in order to trouble shoot this, i decided to install wec without trying to import an old installation..

this time, i just did a textbook install..

when i went to run the setup, i get a popup window asking me to to save the file as a php file... just out of curiosity, i did that.. and it's empty (zero length)..

does anyone else know how i might fix this?

Can you try creating a simple PHP file on your server and check if that will load? I'd also suggest opening the files that you uploaded to be sure that they actually have something inside them.

hey, jeff...

yes, i did exactly this to make sure that php was working properly..

the files do in fact have stuff inside them, in order to change the installation on some of the files, i opened them directly off the server in emacs, updated them, then re uploaded them..

everything acted as it should..

still working on this..
