Subject: broken site on host..
we are running into a problem with one of our hosts.. we keep getting the following problem:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 46080 bytes) in /home/woodeise/woodeisenberg-www/t3lib/class.t3lib_tsparser.php on line 231

we initially had the problem, but they bumped the memory limit to 8mb, and that seemed to work for a day or so..

the biggest problem is, it's not my server, so i can't really dig into it too much..

does anyone have any ideas what else i could suggest to them to get it working?

you can see their phpinfo() at:

thanks!

I see it is redhat. I have read 64M is suggested for RH to have Typo3 properly running.

At least 16MB is what is needed. Your hosting company might not like that though.

I'm using centos which is a redhat clone and 16mb does work for me.

For WEC-TYPO3 we recommend 32M. I am sure memory is your issue. You may find that you need to change hosting companies. Vine Hosting gives you 32MB. One reason Vine exists is to ensure servers are properly configured to run TYPO3.

Looks like memory.
if you would like we could give you a demo account... and try their install on our beefy servers

Most hosting organizations give low ram.cpu. and charge lower fees, some also use a low end VPS and still charge premium prices...

call me (Glenn) tomorrow and lets set up a test account... should be easy enough to help you and this ministry out.
