Christian,

Well, I am sure you will sleep well tonight. :-) You can run WEC-TYPO3 locally on your computer but you need to install Apache and MySQL on it. I usually do this by first installing one of the TYPO3 packages here: http://typo3.org/download/installers/. The TYPO3 WAMP one works for PCs for example. Then I delete the TYPO3 directories and just use the Apache and MySQL for a new WEC Installation. I know that we need to create instruction on those details, but we just have not gotten there yet. Sorry about that.

In Him,
Mark

I use xampp on my computer. (Windows XP Media Center) It works great. Gives you phpMyAdmin, as well as php, mysql, apache, an email server and an ftp server. All right out of the box, with a control panel to turn everything off when you're not using it.

Hi Christian

TIP: Use the WAMP Package from Typo3 and then install the WEC-Package! It is VERY easy (one click) install. WAMP is based on XAMP but optimised for Typo3 use includeing lots of advanced features and Image Magic too.

Another GOOD solution is the USB install:
WOS - Webserver On a Sick
It exists including Typo3 and you can carry it anywhere you go and demonstarte it even at any computer you are going to and which is running with windows xp +
