WEC 103: Rich Text Editor
Tutorial:WEC 103: Rich Text Editor
Use the Rich Text Editor: Formatting Text
You can easily format text in the Rich Text Editor (often called the RTE).
- Use the Page Module and select the Page from the page tree that you would like to edit.
- Next, either create a new Content Element (click on the Page with the Green Plus) or on the edit icon in an existing Content Element.
- If the Content Element does not have a Header, it is a good habit to give it one now. Otherwise, scroll down to the RTE.
- To delete the existing text, you can click inside the RTE Text box and press Control-A and then press the delete key on your computer, or you can Click and drag over the text to highlight it and then press the delete key.
- To add text, simply type in the RTE text box.
- To create bold text, you may toggle Control-B while typing, or you can highlight existing text and either press Control-B or click on the Bold Icon.
- Do the same for either Italics (Control-i) or Underline (Control-U), or highlight and use the Control keys or the formatting icons.
- When you have completed editing your text, scroll to the top or bottom of the page and click the Save and view document to see your work.
