Access Backend (Lost Password)

If you have lost your admin login and/or password, this How To will show you to create a new admin account so that you can access your Backend.

1. Begin by typing the following the URL into your browser's navigation field:
   
   www.YourWebsiteURL.org/typo3/install/
2. Next, enter your Install Tool password and click the Log in button.
   
   (If you don't know it, see the How To on Restoring the Install Tool Password.)
3. Click on the Database analyzer link and then scroll to the bottom of the form.
4. Select the Create "admin" user link.
5. Create a new admin username and a new password (all lower case) and click the Write to database button. Then navigate to your regular TYPO3 login page and login using the new login and password.
6. You will want to revisit the User Admin Module to add or change other users as needed.
