1.4 Installing the Static Files package
We've now done the work to prepare TYPO3 for the new templates, but we still need to put the static files in place by uploading them . This upload can be accomplished through a number of methods, including FTP and the Filelist module. Regardless of the method chosen for uploading the static files package, it is critical that these files are placed in the location expected by the TemplaVoila package. For the WEC Starter Package this location is “fileadmin/tv-templates.”
Using the KB Unpack Extension for TYPO3:
To upload your zipped files, click on folder icon next to your main template folder (“tv-templates”)
Select “Upload Files” from the popup menu
In the far-right column, the upload screen will appear.
Click the “Browse” button to the right of the text boxes that appear and select your zipped file.
Click the “Upload File” button at the bottom of the upload area.
When the file is done uploading, click on its icon and select “Unpack” from the pop-up menu. Your zipped files will be uncompressed and listed on the screen.
Click the “back” link to return to your template folder.
Using FTP:
To upload your files, connect to your TYPO3 website using an FTP program of your choosing. If using the WEC Starter Package, be sure to upload your files to www.yourdomain.com/fileadmin/tv-templates/templatefoldername.
