Using WEC
Ownership
All WEC-developed software and associated files, documents, and training are legally owned and copywrited by the Foundation for Evangelism, P.O. Box 985, Lake Junaluska, NC 28745.
License
The software is free and distributed under the terms of the GNU General Public License (GPL), Version 2, June 1991. This license gives you "legal permission to copy, distribute and/or modify the software." And "there is no warranty for this free software."
Request
The Foundation for Evangelism desires that you freely use and enjoy the benefits of the WEC software. As you probably understand, considerable effort and resources are being expended to make the Web-Empowered Church possible. As a result, we have three requests for users of WEC:
- Please do not use the software in ways that would be offensive to a Christian organization such as ours.
- If you would like to encourage and show appreciation for WEC, then please add a link somewhere on your website back to the Web-Empowered Church website.
- If you are a Christian Church or ministry using any part of WEC, please let us know about your website so we can add a link to your site on the Examples page.
